Emu fencing

Is a 4 foot fence high enough for emus? If not how tall should it be to make sure none of them should will get out, and what kind of fence works best? Also, big of and area would 2 emus need?

They can easily jump a 6 foot fence if they are scared or cornered. I've seen it.

5.5-6 foot fence or higher. We used a 2 by 4 inch welded wire. And for two emus I'd say 35ft-40ft wide by 100ft long. Also make sure the fence posts are on the outside of the fence so the birds can run the fence line without hitting them.

what birdmanmax said but we use non welded wire...has more " give" for when the birds hit it.
