So I bought 5 Emu eggs from a farmer that have had very good luck with hatching their own emu. always 99% of their eggs have hatched. So i was very hopeful with my own eggs i bought from them. And they have very healthy emus. However on the day my eggs turned two and a half week old. The incubator chose not to produce hot air. So when we noticed this it had gone between 1 to 5 hours we are not sure. However the incubator is in the living room so when we checked it had gone down to about 24 Celcius. So my question is.

Is everything lost? Or should i keep turning them? Also if the eggs are dead, will we notice a change in how much weight the egg loose every week?

Oh no, I hope they're okay!!

I know I thought I killed my eggs several times before hatching, but they just kept going... granted they didn't go through such a huge change in temps.

Good luck!

Yeah ive talked to several people and they assured me thats everything is probably fine, since it wasnt that long and it was room temprature. But then again i paid about 49$ maybe more for each egg(bought 6 eggs). So i cant really afford loosing the eggs :) But im gonna keep a watchful eye on the machine and keep weighing every week and lets hope for the best :)

Feels great to hear that. I was actually pretty heartbroken it happend. But starts to feel better now when i hear all this :)
