Emu Injury - Advice Please!

Hello everyone!

One of our males jumped the fence after a very aggressive female was trying to proposition him.

Someone driving by saw him, lassoed him and put him in the closest fenced yard. We went right over and got him but now we think he may have broken his wing. Is there anything we should/could do? I know they're not functional but long term could he have a y health issues from it? I dont have a picture as we are out getting materials to modify the fence but can post one later.

Can really only offer a little solace, Holly. (For you, not Emooo . . . )

Finding 'avian' vets is a long-standing concern. And vets with experience with ratites are rare. But I guess that an ordinary vet could have a look at Emoo's wing.

My two-cents' worth? Keep him from further stress. Feed him well.
