Hi all! I'm new to water glassing and have questions. I read that only clean unwashed eggs should be water glassed, but my dilemma is that most of my eggs have small amounts of mud or poo on them. I'm talking very small, like the size of a lady bug here and there. How clean does an egg need to be to be water glassed? Can I scrape the debris off and have them go in safely afterwards?

Let me answer. The bloom protects the egg from things getting inside. Yes,, we are talking about size of Bactria.
Washing the bloom off removes that protection.
Here is my suggestion. Only watergrass those eggs that are clean. The others, use up in your daily egg consumption.
Here is a thread with very much information. Jump over there, and you may find additional answers.
