Emu pen question emus and wooden fence

Treats? The tame-wild birds here like most fruit, fresh or dried. Sultanas are good value. If, over years, you can figure out things they like (like the yellow flowers of Cape Weed), you could cultivate that thing in their pasture.

Treats? For captive birds, anything fresh -- spinach
Jets doing great in the pen she really a amazing mellow bird <3 she'll even eat out of a food scoop in your hand. Comes right over when you call her. =).
What are some treats your emus like ?

if your going to get a male for her i would put field fencing up on that fence it seems tall enough for the most part i dont think you will have a problem with jumping OVER but with a male come breeding season.....you can have a pair together all year long with no issue but breeding time hits and there chasing each other and hurting each other they try to escape! the females ive noticed are the aggressive ones lol the poor males never stand a chance. but they will try to shoot RIGHT threw the fence gaps

I'll put more borads in between before breeding season . Jet was getting beat up by the other 2 emus where she came from and she still stayed in a four foot fence. So I don't think she's going to get to aggressive...

She liked grapes
Hated kiwi
Liked apple
Didn't care for carrots
(I made everything chopped up small sk she wouldn't get chocked onnany of it )

Merry and Happy, E.S. (and everyone).

Your birds looking very well!

[Got both Felicity and Number One here this morning -- bird under observation since 2009. Felicity is the alpha. There's a very vocal wild male -- 'Droopy' -- here as well, moving around the perimeter, driving Felicity to feather-flaring and booming.]
