Encouraging Chicken Nesting?

My chickens have been in the coop for about 10 days now and they still aren't using the nest boxes, but instead they are plopping the eggs out right in the middle of the coop floor. I have been picking the chickens up and lifting them into the boxes and they seem to like it but once they hop down they never go back up. How else can i encourage them to go up there?

Put fake eggs in there. golf balls work. Chickens like to lay where other chickens lay.

Ceramic eggs, and those plastic Easter eggs work as well.
