If I were a crier I would be bawling . . . I have lost my handed down for generations cook book. It was a medium green color, hard back, thick, called "The Encyclopedia of Cooking" I think it was printed in the '30s or 40's but could have been '50's. There are a couple of recipes in there that I would give much for copies of . . . any one have one of these gems on their shelf?

Are you a crier? If I tell you the whole story you will be . . . it was taken and probably thrown away. It even had notes and recipe modifications in the margins in my own 9 year old hand writing . . sigh . . .
it's not the things that are important but the memories . . .

A HUGE thankyou to PandoraTaylor.
She found one for me on Amazon.com and I bought it immediately.

Congratulations!
I talked to my aunt about what I thought was my mom's encyclopedia of cooking, and she said that my mom had my grandmother's joy of cooking. I guess it being a very early publication had me confused.
I will take up your lead and start searching on line for an old volume.
Congratulations again. I know how books become friends.
