End justifies the means

Birdydeb:

No pune intended, but as stated usually cats and dogs will contact the wire only once, they seem to learn very quickly as does most domestic livestock. The same goes for most wildlife, but yes electric fence chargers are capable of killing, in the case of an animal that once shocked will turn and fight.

For what its worth I use 5" standoff insulators on the exterior of fence grid, such that the chickens inside the pen cannot contact the energized wire.

With regard to one poster's "final solution" method, though I have not stated, among the many available both Remington and Winchester are good brands.

Drowning animals is illegal in a lot of states. Nuisance or not
not many options with dispatches on skunks without being covered in musk ,ill take suggestions ,we have to many laws ,most times a judge will use common sense ,there is multiple methods and sure some people will not agree with any of the methods.

With three pitbulls and an English bulldog I have never had to worry about predators. They won't let anything on my property. I grew up on a commercial chicken farm and we raised several breeds of dog and never had problems there either. I just keep predators away. Lol only predator I have scene around is a fox that plays with our tiny long haired chihuahua then it just runs off never bothering a thing

PLEASE don't trap if you won't shoot the varmits you catch!!! Relocation is cruel to the animal, illegal everywhere I know of, and brings a trap- wise predator to someone else's birds. I just hope that you don't live anywhere near here. Mary

I agree. Transporting a predator is just moving your problem to become someone else's problem.
