Bathed a few chickens for a show. Marvelled on how clean their butt feathers were. A few days after saw some blood spots in the shavings. They all have what looks like bloody poo? Have 2 questions..could bathing somehow cause it?
A conversation at the fair with the judge and we assumed coccidiosis. I have endocox on order.

So if uess 2 questions.
1.How would bathing have caused bloody poo when they were pristine before
2. Egg withdrawal time on endocox. I know not for use on meat birds in the US

Are you in the USA? This drug isn't listed as approved for use in poultry here; why not use amprolium, perfectly safe and effective!
If a drug is not approved for use in laying hens, then the actual egg withdrawal time is 'forever'.
It's used in caged birds and pigeons, not poultry that are in our food chain.

And have you had a fecal run? Is it really coccidia? Any stress can cause an outbreak, or some other GI upset.
