Hello.
This is my very first post here. First I'd like to thank all members who share the ideas, informations, coop designs and everything else here. I've spenting almost a week reading/learning on both forums (new one and old one) of this website. By some reason this subject (hens, chickens, eggs...) are not well talked over the internet. At least not here where I live (Brazil) so I started searching for new English sources and gladly find out this forum. I'm new on raising hens but i love to take care of them. I decided to move to a bigger house to raise them on my gardner. Currently I have 9 hens (which I don't know the breed) and 1 rooster (same).
Anyway I'll start posting my own questions and to comment too now.

I cound't find the English name for it. Also If I just translate the Brazilian breed name it will be something like Giant Indian (??). It is a big (very big) fellow as you can see there. Although they are quiet and dislike to fight other roosters in a way that they can be setted up with 3 or more roosters (depending on the size of your run and number of hens). That's why they can't be game fowls.

More pics of them here:

Thanks for your time.

Saipan Jungle Fowl, maybe or Malay? Most likely a breed I haven't heard of, also, especially since you are in Brazil. They are huge either way! A fellow down the road from me raises the Saipan and I just couldn't get over how big they are! He tried to sell me some and I graciously passed him up on the offer.

Look to be some Malay type birds. Maybe even a little South Indian Aseel blood. The 3 curves to their body is very malay. 1/3 head and neck, 1/3 body, 1/3 tail...cool looking gamefowl....

Those are some very Tall roosters. "whew" that puts me right back to the fear I had of chickens. (before I got my chickies) Stupid one legged roo used to chase me all over my Uncle's Yard.

I would love to have one of those!!!We seriously got to start that breed over hear. We need to get that breeds name and everyone needs to call Mc Murrays requesting these guys.

You can get Saipan Jungle fowl and Malay from Ideal Poultry, and Privett hatchery.

To me, these guys look like a combo of those two breeds.
Edit: Actually Privett doesn't carry those breeds...I double checked while I'm sitting here waiting for the PO to call. (hopefully soon!)
