I have a 3 day old chick with an enlarged crop. I know they eat constantly, but her crop is much larger than the other chicks. She's doesn't seem to be eating. Could she have sour crop or an impacted crop so young? If so what do I do?Do I separate her and withhold food

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
I would give her some coconut oil. Freeze it then giver her little pieces. Try to get a 1/2 tsp into her.
You will want to remove all food at night and check her in the morning to see if her crop is down.
What is your heat source?
Where did you get the chicks?
What exactly are you feeding them?
What bedding are you using?

I got them from Meyers hatchery. They have a heat plate. They're eating Nutrena starter and I'm using puppy pads for now, so no wood flakes

Make their starter into a wet mash and get the coconut oil into her.
Pull the food tonight and check her first thing in the morning. Get up before dawn so the others don't have to wait to eat.

I was thinking though, in the shipping box they had stringy packing material. I wonder if she could have eaten some of that
That's elixir. I doubt it she ate that. She sounds like she has a clog in the pipes. Check her behind for pasty butt too.
