I don't know HOW I managed to make my nesting boxes 12x12x12 when I knew I was getting heavies. D'oh! So, I managed to make them bigger without disrupting their spot (This was important because I had already cut holes in the outside of the coop for access doors.)
Before:
So, we sawed out the inner two doors to give room for the birds to turn around, and we cut the tops off and raised them up 4 inches:
Access doors. I know I need to put a different latch on that is more secure from raccoons.
One of the doors open to see an "inspiration egg."
Thanks for looking!
