Hi everyone This is my second year raising baby chicks, last year I raised 6, adding 3 more that are coming in a few hours. So, I turned on my heat lamp, and it just died. I have a 100 watt reptile bulb plus a 25 watt heat plate I can use. The chicks will be housed inside, temps kept between 65-68 in a small area, about 3 ft. Will that be warm enough for them?

What temp do you mean? 95F is good. They only need an area to get warm, it can be ambient temp elsewhere.

Will the 100 watt heat lamp plus the 25 watt heat plate be sufficient to provide enough heat for their 3 ft. Area, there will be 3 of them in a 2/3 ft area .
