enrichment/enclosure for indoor setup (plants, toys, etc)

These threads always turn into a bunch of concern trolling about how chickens are disease-ridden health hazards. As if dogs and cats don't shed dust and dander? And if you care about your respiratory health, better not allow any children in your house, cuz kids are the number one vector for respiratory virus...
Discussing reputable research about health risks is hardly disease trolling. It’s a very reasonable thing to want to minimize unnecessary risks. Children in the house, if you’ve already had them, are a necessary risk. Birds are not.

Or, let the OP try it and tell us how it went? Lighten up and live a little. The nice thing with chickens is that if things don't work out, you can always move them outside or eat them. Birds are a lot more reversible than, ah, other types of household inhabitants.

What kind of air purifiers do you have? With the amount of dust and dander that chickens create, you're either going to have to wash or replace the filters often. No reasonable amount of air purifiers is going to negate the dust issue created by chickens in a closed space.
Maybe this has been recommended elsewhere, but it took me forever to realize the importance of a really good vacuum. Air purifiers don't move enough air; there was still a layer of dust on every surface. Finally upgraded to a good bagged vac -- look for ones that are designed for cats and dogs -- that was a game changer for me. It cost more than several air purifiers though.

I'm not putting down others for their opinions. I'm putting them down for derailing the thread. OP did not ask for health advice; they asked for enrichment ideas.
Let's not put down anybody. This isn't Facebook, Reddit, etc.

I do understand your point on derailing, but BYC is pretty casual on that front. And to be fair, if there was ever a time to go off topic, it would be for health concerns for another person. For all we know, the OP could have children or elder parents living with them. It's better they know any potential risks before making a decision that could negatively impact other people.

Lighten up and live a little? But no, you're not putting anyone down.

I highly doubt OP or anyone would eat their chickens if they’re getting them as pets.

You shouldn’t put anyone down at all.
