Winter is on the way, along with high wind warnings etc...

I'm looking for ways to keep my chickens entertained if they need to stay in the coop.

My coop is pretty big, 20x7 and I have 8 standards, 4 bantams.

I did toss in a handfull of the horses hay the other day, I threw it outside in their run, and they had a great time digging and scratching it apart - next day it was GONE!

Just curious if any of you do anything else to keep them busy and entertained... ?

try hanging a head of cabbage from a string.

I hung a piece of cucumber today. It was comical-try it. LOL

It could be like chickie tether-ball...I think I'll try this!

Alright, I have a bunch of cukes that are "over the hill" in the garden...beginning to turn yellow, so maybe I'll try it with the cukes. And, I think I'm going to have to get a head of cabbage this weekend! Mabye I'll video it! HA!
