Okay so now everyone I talk to thinks I'm crazy. I have been trying to find things to entertain my 4 pekins when I am not available to amuse them. Any ideas? Obviously they have their pool and I have tried various balls and hiding "treats" in dog treat balls. If I didn't know better I'd say my babies are turning into couch potatos.

LOL you are not crazy...I have various 'toys' for my gang. These are the things they like playing with...

A big blue dog frisbee (I let it float in their pool)

a seed tray flat (the black plastic ones that the seedlings or seed pots go in)

A rubber ball that has a bell inside with just a tiny hole on one end so they cannot get the bell out...it is a cat toy (I found a huge heavy duty one at Petsmart for like $ 9

and

A large plastic mixing bowl

They play with them, push them, toss them, dunk them under water...climb in and out of them.

Just make sure it is solid and sturdy enough not to break off in any pieces they might swallow

Since it is summer, you can make frozen treats. Sometimes I take a large tupperware bowl, put treats like fruits and chopped veggies in it and fill it with water. Stick it in the freezer and when it is done, pop out the giant ice cube o' treats. Float it in their pool and watch them go crazy dunking it and picking out the treats as they gradually thaw.
