Epoxy paint in the coop???

I'm wondering why you have a wood floor at all, unless its a raised coop???

Nothing you can do to wood keeps it well protected against pervasive moisture contact, and chicken droppings tend to quickly combine with whatever bedding/floor cover you are using to form a moist, rapidly decaying "substance". Additionally, its both caustic and corrosive - the high ammonia content and dry urates - its why deep litter on bare ground is such a popular management method, and part of why good ventilation is always critical in the hen house - to move moist, ammonia laden air out quickly.

Do not use 2 part garage epoxy, i am replacing floor coated with lowes material. For some reason chicken poop/pee goes right thru and eats the plywood.
As a newbie to the world of Backyard Chickens, did you find a solution that works better than the Lowes stuff that failed? I'm eyeing materials to get started. Already know the breed of chickens I need for cold SD winters.

The usual solution is to buy a sheet of linoleum and lay over the floor, securing at the edges with furring strips. Do not glue or staple down elsewhere in case it needs replacing in the future. Depending on the size of the coop, you can pick up scrap linoleum at Home Depot or Lowes.
