Have gotten those as well from other things we were selling. GARBAGE. They will be specific if they are sincere. Throw them out and block them. Can guarantee they are coming from overseas and you will be scammed, spammed or whatever. Never give out personal info, address, phone # or anything to these people, they are professionals at what they do.

Oh yes, i know!

Just super annoying... i hate time wasters..

We deal with people wanting free or extra cheap birds often. I really hate dealing with CL often as seems many shopping there want the best for nothing.
If you can't afford to pay a price for an animal, how are you going to pay for feed, vets and medicine as well as alteration if need be? That's my thoughts on the whole thing.

Oh, goodness, I get these kinds of emails all the time. I have a very small animal rescue, and I put these long, detailed biographies on petfinder, along with tons of pictures, only to have someone email with "how much?". Seriously?

I usually respond with something like this: "Hi. Thank you for you interest in (pets name). Tell me a little about yourself and your home. As you might imagine, we get very attached to our foster animals, and we want to match them up with just the right home."

Always a good idea! Put them on the spot first and see how they respond. As far as the guy in the armed forces, what happens to the pup when he gets deployed? That was ignorant of him, even if he's married, the pup will obviously be attached to him and mourn when he goes overseas for 6-12 months, get reattached and then have to go through it again.

I had someone call me greedy when I wouldn't take 1/2 off the price of one of my puppies because he was in the armed forces. It was extremely rude. Some people!

Nice, that is a way to make an impression!

Ugh! what kind of a question? your response is excellent though, definitely throws the ball back in their court.
If people with poor manners email me- I ignore it. And I own and run my own business.
Yes, i agree, i trashed it... SO not worth my energy.
