So, I have a hen who keeps escaping over my electric poultry netting. The rest of my hens are fine after clipping one wing, not her! I read some other articles and decided to try clipping both her wings, first AND secondary feathers but she is still escaping! Any advice?

Some learn to squeeze through the upper part of the netting where the holes are usually bigger.

I once had a hen that even climbed the 1,70 m deer fence using her beak like a parrot. There was no way to retain her, she went wherever she wanted.

Have you seen her go over the netting? Unless you see something about how she is escaping you can block I think you have one that is bound to escape. We can argue about how well some can still fly after clipping one or both wings and argue about how they are clipped but to me the bottom line is that she is getting out. I know of nothing else you can do to stop her unless you see something when she escapes.

I think you have a decision to make. Accept things as they are or get rid of her. "Get rid of" could mean sell, give away, or eat.

The only ones I've ever had to escape are my starlights. I have no idea why they're the only ones, but I got tired of chasing them and trying to get them back in the fence.

Now they leave when they want, and even though they act lost all day and act like they can't find their way back, once it starts getting dark, they find their way back over the fence to go into the coop.

They are clipped, but they are the only ones clipped because none of the other breeds ever tried to fly out.
