Yea, I trust if my hens ever get out they will come back. They know the time for there food and bed, so they rush to get in even if there dust bathing.Me too! Right now my best hope, I think, is waiting until night and seeing if they go towards the other chickens.
I think my main concern is that literally I JUST brought them home. They don’t know where to go, or any of the other birds. I’m hoping they just need to calm down. The lady I bought them from mentioned that literally last night there was a predator attack. I’m assuming they’re super wound up from that.Yea, I trust if my hens ever get out they will come back. Thanks!! I have a lot of other birds (including multiple roosters and at least one chick around their age), so obviously them hearing the other birds would be ideal.Long shot but I'd take a phone and try playing some chickens sounds, if your own are not already making plenty. Maybe even a rooster crow if you don't keep one, and some tidbitting noises from a rooster or mother hen. Even some happy chick sounds if they are still peeping age. Chickens are so social at every age and if they think they can find safety with a group, they should eventually gravitate towards it... As long as they aren't too far away, and I bet they are I hiding.
Sending you best wishes that you find them asap!
Its been a little, any luck?
I did!! Well, actually my neighbor did! They’re both back, thank goodness!!I’m hoping you found them?
Were they visiting your neighbor? In any case, glad they're back!I did!! Well, actually my neighbor did! They’re both back, thank goodness!!
One was apparently hiding in the bushes on their property, the other was seen around the brooder (but ran away when they tried to grab her). Either way, my neighbors are amazing! Were they visiting your neighbor? In any case, glad they're back!
