Escaping baby chick

My 2week old baby chick keeps jumping an flapping in his brood trying to escape he rants and raves on and on until I can't take it no more an don't know what to do so I bring him out and basiclyhe ends up just hanging around me sleeping on me and because he's only 2weeks old I can't do much with him out of his brood also it's probably not good for him right?? This behaviour has only started since yesterday after him and his sibling escaped from their brood unfortunately we lost his sibling so I understand he's probably a bit distressed an lonely atm hence I'm also looking for another chick close to his age... Pls anyone tell me what's going on or how I can better deal with his ongoing behaviour when I put him bak in his brood

He's lonely. Give him a mirror for company - he can talk to himself.
