Escaping from the shell...

One of the little escape artists has wiggled out of its shell!!

I am guessing its a little white Silkie

2 or 3 other eggs have pipped so far. Today is day 20!! This is our first hatch ever

I am going to have to order me some silkie eggs next spring.
They are just so cute as chicks

There are 7 eggs left under her, she started out with 9 but one wasn't developing and another broke open a couple weeks ago.

I think 3-4 more have pips so far, not sure about the remaining ones yet.

I don't have a white Silkie yet!!

They are stubborn lil creatures though. That first one took 14 hours from pip to fluffy! The rest are making me wait forever!

I think thats one of Peppi's eggs in the back corner, hope it hatches too, no pip yet though!

Hannah, chick #2 is out of the shell. The one that was trying to get out when you guys were here.

It is a dark one, but was still too wet to tell if the feet were black or greenish. The rest probably wont hatch til the middle of the night or in the morning. I will update first thing in the morning!

I just went out and checked on them. I have another little yellow baby, but the browish one looks like its going to die. Its not hopping around like the other 2. I tried to get it to take a couple sips of water, but it didn't seem to help.

One of the EE chicks should be out of its shell in an hour or so!!

I think Peppi's egg is still sitting there. Today is day 21 so there is still hope.
