Chickens won’t land on something that isn’t solid.

Some won't.

Even my fattest chickens are happy to use the top of this fishing net "fence" as a launch pad, or perch on it.

We've always allowed the hens to free range in the yard but with a new grandbaby starting to be mobile we created a run for our girls. We clipped one wing and most are happily staying in the run, however we have a few escape artists. We're looking for recomendations on how to encourage them to stop flying over (without building a taller fence.) Thank you in advance!View attachment 4313270

Update. We added a slanted row of wire over the top of the fence. So far it’s kept them from coming over. I see them looking up at it and I guess they think it’s a roof lol

That's what zoos do! Very effective, good job.
