So I have one chicken that keeps escaping. Well, kinda. She gets out no matter how we reinforce (yes she's even gotten between the criss cross yarn over the top of the open area. Once she gets out she squawks REALLY Loudly to get back in. What's up with that? How do I train her to stay in? WHY is she doing this?

And please no jokes about the grass is greener or she wanted to cross the road, I've heard enough of those......

You have more or less answered your own question. You said, in part:
Quote: She is obviously flying up and over the top of your run area fencing if I'm understanding you correctly. Is your run area roofed?

You could clip the flight feathers on one of her wings to imbalance her flying so she can't escape.
I have done this with my rooster and it has worked very well in preventing him from flying over my neighbor's fence.

The run is not roofed, but we did put criss cross yarn all over the top so she shouldn't be getting out. Anyway I think we figured it out. She's getting picked on so she's trying to get away from the other mean hens. The feather loss that I thought was molting is actually from getting picked on as the feathers are not plucked out, they are broken. Took us some time to get her comfortable with us really examining her as we didn't want to stress her out too much. She was pretty wild when we got her and two others last fall.
