I know you shouldn’t feed chickens worms that are sold at bait shops because of parasites but what about worms from the ground that are in my yard, I didn’t realize how many there were and I have been collecting them , I haven’t fed them yet but I was just wondering if these are okay to feed

Totally okay if their from your yard. Just make sure not to get any by a road, etc because they might have some harmful chemicals on them.
They are from my front and back yards and my front is relatively close to the road I’d say like 30 feet from where I got some

I was walking around my run yesterday with a shovel...scooping up a shovel full of earth and turning it over, walking a few feet, and repeating. The flock was following me around like the pied piper attacking each pile as I turned it over for the worms.

Good exercise and protein boost for the flock.

I wouldn’t worry about 30’ from the road - I’d expect that is far enough to be safe.

Honestly they're going to eat them if they can find them, so while I don't deliberately feed earthworms to my flock, I don't sweat it if they eat some. Though admittedly I have a soft spot for worms and will rescue them and put them to work in my compost bin if I can. :)

I don't search out worms, insects or grubs, but if I come across one I'll toss it in their pen.
I do let my chickens free range an hour before sunset daily and they know where the goodies are.

Worms can carry parasites as can insects that dwell underground.
I don't dig em up, but I don't stop the chickens from digging em up. GC
