Esther and Winnie - problem?

Everytime I attempt to open this message my internet shuts down - it has done it for weeks. Tonight I'd forgotten about the thread and the problem with my computer and clicked on it - crash.

I was just wondering if anyone else has had similar problems? And what is in this thread that makes it so popular (about 40 pages!!!).
