Hey, see if your friend at Cornell can run down the average lifespan for castrated roosters. Though they are used in research for a variety of reasons, they are, alas, harvested before their time (capons for the table are harvested too, but right on time...).

I know what you mean, i have 3to many roos and i cant bring myself to eating or killing them, and iv shot hundreds of pheasants and grouse. didnt think that would ever be a problem for me.
