Hello
I'm also new to BYC and chickens and I live near Eugene, Oregon. I bought my chickens from someone in Cottage Grove that raises Marans, Barnvelders, Welsummer, Wyandotte and Easter Eggers. They look healther then the feed store chicks. These chickens lay dark brown eggs. I also ordered some Buff Oringtons. They lay light brown eggs. I want them as pets but only want one Roo so since it is a stright run I'm hoping for mostly hens

. Hope to find someone the will cull them if there are to many roo's I'll raise them for the meat but I can't do it myself.
