............IF MD and seven EO Roosters got into it.....wouldn't that be Cock Fighting?????????

...and besides the Roosters would obviously win. That sort of thing is illegal here, however, I'll take two Ringside seats, a cup of Coffee and a Buttered Popcorn!!!!!!!!

....GO ROOSTERS

I have three EOs in a pen with one EE. I got an egg each from them today! The four of them laid the same amount of eggs as I got from my layer pen today. The layer pen as 14 hens in it too!

Gotta love those EOs....

Wow, I have one hen and rooster and they are so sweet! I've not ever had any problems with either one. I also have a black copper marans in with the others, they never fight, never charge me. All the girls seem to be happy and unstressed. My hen doesn't lay very good, she might lay one/twice a week. I just love my rooster-Emmett, he's so quite, easy, non-chalant. I hope to get more in the future..

Mine are very nice but they do stand up for themselves. They are very smart too and know that I give them treats so go after them and sometimes peck me. Not recently though.

You guys are killing me!

Haven't been around lately due to being dog sick and just not getting well. Sigh. It's nice to see some action on this thread though, for sure!

I took some pictures yesterday. Leela is on the right. She is 14 months old or so. The blue one is a Blue Marans x SG Dorking.

Enjoy!

Leela is so pretty! Her daddy is going to a new home next week. I'm sad to see him go, but I no longer have any Basque hens for him. Maybe at some point down the road I'll get some more, but right now I need several new coops just for the birds I already have. My new rule is I'm not allowed to buy any new critters until a house/coop, etc is built and ready for them to move in, before the bird ever steps foot on our place. We'll see if I can follow my new rule. LOL

Lovely pictures everyone! I'll be lurking...

Hey Aspen.....yeahhhhhhh, see how you are...you helped in getting me addicted to EO's...then you bail on us......just kidding, but I do hate to see you not raising EO's anymore... I think there is a huge future for them. Mine are all doing GREAT......I have about 20-30 now so I can be more selective with my breeders this spring.....I just can't see them doing anything but improving...................stay in-touch....................Mike
