Thank you following this thread Hiddenhill. Claire has been amazing with her research. I'm so glad that I've met someone that admires the Marraduna Basque as much as me. They're a hidden jewl in my opinion.
Eggs should be ready soon. Trust me, I'm so excited to start letting other people enjoy them as much as we have. I might start letting early batches go in about a month. So you might want to hurry and get on the waiting list to get yours sooner. Its not an obligation to buy but for notification that they are ready and your next in line.
They can handle heat, trust me... I tried to be specific when I mentioned they're smart. They're scary smart! Its as if they are studying you instead of you studying them. They learn real fast to the routines and make it a point to be at your feet when you are out. The heat here is hot and very humid and they don't even flinch at it. Always on the go looking for something.

I am on the list, No? I have an email from june 3rd confirming my interest. I can't wait... Thanks so much for the enthusiasm and work. I have been researching into these hens (I speak Spanish), and I get more fired up every day. This is the breed I have been searching for. I wish I had known about them earlier. What am I supposed to do with the 100+ Juveniles and chicks I have hatched in the last 3 months?

Thanks again, Cheers, Luke

Your most definately on the list Luke. If you ever wanted to translate any info that you have read about the Marradunas we could post it here or something. The more information the better. I don't know what to tell you about the 100+ chicks. If there pure breds then hold on to them and see which ones you like most. I know that my Wheatens are comedians. Can't go a day without laughing at them.

I will poke around and see what I can translate. It is interesting, alot of the info is actually in Basque. Though there are some similarities, Basque is a tough language foe non native speakers. Just when I think I am getting somewhere, they drop into Basque. Revel in the Mystery, like much of life. My Microclimate is simiular to Basque country, so I am hoping they flourish here on the California Coast. Thanks again for the confirmation... Got me freaked out there for a minute. If I come up with any interesting translations, I will share.
Hasta la proxima vez, (until next time), Luke
