The first batch of girls are starting to lay like crazy! My second batch of girls will start laying come early December, maybe sooner . Can't wait to start shipping eggs out!

I have been following Terry's expertise for some time now. We bred collies for 15 yrs. (1995-2009). Purpose-bred working dogs. This idea of training chickens in order to to learn to train dogs compassionately is exceptional. I had so wanted to go to one of the training camps. But I am in PA and she is in WA State. That's a long way to go, smile. I think EO's will be perfect for this program! I can't wait till my chicks get old enough so I can try it on them! What a blast!

In the meantime, I thought I'd post a few pics of my fifteen 2-3 weeks old Euskal Oiloas, just to get everyone going crazy! We just did one hatch as it is getting too late for hatching up here and I wrote this little article about the chicks, with basic colouring, sexing and temperament and so on,

2 from the female line, they just sit on your hand and look at you even when broody raised

Then last week at 2 weeks I took...sorry they are a little fuzzy and with the sun shining on these light chicks the reflection is crazy, camera no like
Male line

Male line typical nosy stance

Female line, same 2 that were on my hand, think the big one's a male, he's the boldest and friendliest of the two
