Euskal Oiloa ( Basque Thread)

Pretty cockerel! I love when people posts pictures of their Basque's. Keep 'em coming!

P.S. I have 13 going in to lockdown today (Ron is incubating for me) and I just can not wait to see those little fuzzy butts!!

Good luck with the hatch, Ron and Meg20000000!

This is our favorite cockerel. He just had his hoop coop moved, so he has lots of fresh greens.

This Basque girl on the left is different looking from the other two. Much lighter in color and very skittish:

The other two Basque girls, along with the second cockerel and an olive egger:

Meg and Ron, good luck. More EOs in Calif.!

Those are lovely girls. Interesting coloring on the darker two, I can never remember if that's the color we want or is it the lighter color.
Your boys are nice too.
Thanks for posting photos!

Where did you get your olive Eggers? They look a lot like my splash olive egger. Can't wait to get our first egg... From any one!!!

I wonder about the color too.

Here are my two best Cockerels(Meg200000 has the other best one):

And a Group shot that includes two of my three Pullets:

And this is a EO Marraduna Basque egg I put into lockdown this morning:

Cheers!

I hatched my olive eggers (which really might not be olive eggers). I crossed my olive egger rooster (from someone else's stock), with various mixed-breed hens. Two were EEs, two were from purchased "olive egger eggs" but they lay light green and very dark brown, and my only real olive egger, who lays a weird coffee-green.

Once they hatched, I quickly lost track of who came from which egg. They are all basically gray with black heads, like my rooster, although one is solid black and one has a copper head. I can't wait to see what they lay.

I like that boy in the middle color-wise. Is he your smallest? The other fella looks like my second boy, but my guy has white legs. Hope you have a wonderful hatch!

My turn for pictures! What do you guys think?

I'm so in love with this friendly little group!!
Chema is a very nice boy! I am so proud of him(I hatched him from James Meeks hatching eggs).

Keep the ones with Yellow legs next hatch.

Ron
