Like James(Skyline) Says: The Gene pool for good ones is there!

It could have been any one of them.

She is a very good eater too. Eats a lot more than the leghorns and the crop is always full.

As you can tell

I think my 2 little chicks are around 5 weeks old now. This is the boy. Very playful and curious. Super friendly little guy! I don't like the lightness of his legs. Will they darken as he gets older? Hes ready to come out of the brooder. Here's my little girl. She very timid and not nearly as friendly as the boy. She very pretty. Really nice dark feathering. And nice yellow legs. I can't wait till she starts laying!! Shes very camera shy and showed me her backside when I took the picture lol

They are very nice looking!

The legs may get a bit more yellow--Mine stayed fairly white though. You will get yellow legged chicks with the boy and the girl.

Thanls appreciate that. I hope they turn out to be quality since I have a low quantity atm lol.

wow, that's quite a comb on the boy! i'm increasingly convinced that my two basques might BOTH be girls, which would be great luck for me -- tomorrow they turn 4 weeks old, and pictured here with their friend the cream legbar:

the basques were actually incredibly difficult to photograph, especially the larger/darker one (in foreground), because both kept flying up to perch on my arm, shoulder, or head! incredibly friendly/curious birds. the cream legbar is also super-calm, which is a nice change from the wildness of the three orps these guys are sharing a brooder with (who may ALL be boys, ugh)
