The ones from my Basque hens look darker than your does in the picture. Does it have a lot of bloom on it?

My EO eggs are pretty light in color. Looks about the same.

Mike, I saw one of my EO pullets squatting today so I could have my first EO egg as early as tomorrow. The Blue Breda that hatched with the EO pullets could be laying any day now too. They are all 24 weeks old.

P.S. I also got out and evaluated 13 EO's from a 2nd batch that are 18 weeks old today. I have four good cockerels in the group. I am not sure If I will keep any of them though. I really like the shape of one of them. It is just like the photos of the Marraduna EO's in Spain.

Huge first egg!!! The basque eggs are amazing. I don't remember them ever being pullet sized.

wow, eo X Wellie cross. Very pretty. Never thought of that cross, kind cool. It will be interesting to see how they develop.
