....Hey muttsfan...does Big Fella have as much dark to him as the pic shows? He might be a good starting place to try to get a Beltza strain going...just thinking...you know that idle mind is the devils workshop thing

He is indeed very dark - way darker than the acceptable color. But he is stunning to look at, and a great flock master even at his youthful age. When a fox snagged a wayward hen a few weeks ago he ran over to where she was taken. I called all the rest of the girls and boys into the pen, but he stood just outside at attention, waited until everyone was in, and even then required some sweet-talking from me to come back inside. And while he comes running for treats he doesn't eat them, just calls his girls over and hands them off. He even sometimes does his hen dance for me - very funny.
 
I think I'm naming him Bigfoot. Do the EO's normally have such giant feet? I don't know if his legs are truly yellow, it looks like they have a bit of green to them. But it just serves to give them a bit of neon radioactiveness.

Today was the day his comb started to pink up :)

Yes, the roos have huge feet!
