Euthenized a turk chick this morn

What a crappy morning. A turkey hatched last night and the egg sack was huge. During it's thrashing around it's toes ripped it open and it bled all night,what a mess . Poor thing was still hanging in there this morning but was clearly not going to make it. I couldn't let it linger for the day in pain. I gassed it with the car exhaust in a bag. Broke my heart but I couldn't think of how else. I hope I don't have to ever do this again but I'm sure it will happen at some point. SO how was your morning?
