Let me get this right - he got whacked because you did not have things situated properly? That doesn't seem fair. Time for a new home.

lol. that is what I was thinking too, so others could learn from my mistake. It wasnt even a mistake, just something unexpected. Had a story written. I thought it was funny. 20 people read it and no one acknowledged I had written except one. Its like walking in a room and speaking but no one welcomes you or says a word back.

I went into details about my flock, shared the whole experience and what someone took from my story was that the mean ugly angry rooster got a spanking for trying to murder my young show breeding flock, therefore he should get a new home. I spanked my kid yesterday for a fib, should she go to foster care? I am really tired of people passing crazy judgement. I erased my story so I wouldn't continue to get pecked by bittys. :) I should have had silkie soup for dinner last night. The story ends with him back in his pen, surrounded by his offspring. Ya, life is bad for him. Sorry for my drama, I miss my daily soaps!

Lol!

Thanks for catching me up. I really love to hear about other people's experiences with their chickens, that's one of the reasons I joined this forum. The collective knowledge and experience here is awesome.

I'm sorry I missed the story, it sounds interesting. :)

Once in a while my cute little Silver Spangled Hamburg roo will get it into his head that he needs to school one of the hens and he'll pull a feather out or something, but that's about the extent of my experience with mean roos (if you don't count the accidental scalping he caused when learning the ropes. Very gruesome, but she healed well).

We actually just got another rooster recently and plan on increasing the number of chickens we have, so I always like to hear about issues that may arise. Don't stop posting about your experiences, please!
