DBF wants to move out of state eventually and he wants to go west. We hate the cold and the snow here in Ohio!! He keeps mentioning Arizona but all I picture is hot, dry, and brown. We want warm temps (not sweltering where it's too hot to be outside) but yet green grass and some acreage. Any suggestions?

Wyoming
Not to cold in winter some snow sumers hot to mild great folks to meet lots of open space we have jellystone park great place to go to lots of hot springs we have hot springs you can swim in
come vist us on your next vaction no I an not the Camber of Comerce

Thanks!! Will research the great state of Wyoming! I should also add that we've never been west of Ohio, only south so we'd really be going into this blind. We like to garden and fish. Need to really do some research.

Camp Verde, Arizona

Payson, Arizona

Young, Arizona

St. David, Arizona

Prescott, Arizona

I have friends that live in all of those places. Not too cold... Payson and Young will get a small amount of snow from time to time.

Not too hot. All of the above will get over 100 for some of the summer.

Prescott has a community college and is GROWING.

Flagstaff is OK (have Cardinal's training camp in the summer) but it can get downright cold in the winter with some nice amounts of snow.

There are areas in AZ that are higher elevation that are not so brown and hot. Even in the hot places like Tucson and Phoenix you get quite a bit of rain. But there are areas like Pine Top and Flagstaff up in the white mountains that there is even snow and it's much cooler in the summers.

We're open to just about anywhere. I'm trying to look up properties for sale online but am not having much luck. Any city suggestions? We're hoping to find at least 5 acres and don't have a million dollars to spend LOL. Tips on cities with wide open spaces?
