This is an example of "rickrolling":

"Rickrolling" is an Internet meme typically involving the music video for the 1987 Rick Astley song "Never Gonna Give You Up". The meme is a bait and switch: a person provides a web link that they claim is relevant to the topic at hand, but the link actually takes the user to the Astley video. The URL can be masked or obfuscated in some manner so that the user cannot determine the true destination of the link without clicking. When a person clicks on the link and is led to the web page, he or she is said to have been "Rickrolled" (also spelled Rickroll'd)."

In other words, 'you've been had', 'duped', 'made the butt' and 'had fun poked at' if you fell for this.
Something no one here at BYC takes very kindly to, as a rule, I might add.

But it's all good fun, of course. Rick Astley, when interviewed about the rickrolling phenomenon, said that never in his wildest dreams would he have guessed his greatest fame would come like this.

Explanation:

1. Thread was made about being tricked.
2. Link was provided (with the intent of people clicking on it).
3. People who clicked on the link were then "tricked".

Get it?
