Ever get an egg this size?

I almost didn't see it in the nest box! And, yes,. That's a clove of garlic!

I have a 15 mo old RIR, but she lays her eggs in the other coop. I have 11 mo old layers and 3 mo olds.

Has anyone ever gotten anything like this before? Or knows how this happens?

I am so tempted to crack it open, but it's just too cute!

I have had some the size of grapes before.

They're actually called "fart eggs". I've had a couple from my girls. If you search for it on this site a bunch of threads will pull up.

When mine would lay a fart egg, there was no yolk inside.
