I feel like this isn an repeated topic but I need ideas. So I have 4 adult ducks outside and 4 ducklings inside I am currently struggling on keep all of them dry and clean. It is driving me nuts. With the crazy weather we've been having the outside ducks are constantly in mud and even when we do move, them they muddy up the new run in days. I am thinking about buying them a shed but am waiting for the funds. Any suggestions in the mean time? Any suggestions on bedding?
The ducklings I kind of have figure out but I still feel like they're chest r constantly wet. The rest of them is dry its just there under belIlies. I feel defeated in keeping them dry ): I work 8 hr days so I change there bedding in the morning, when i get home and before bed. Spot cleaning when I am home. I am using pine bedding the bigger shavings from tractor supply. I even made them a paint trough with harswire cloth to catch the excess water but they STILL manage to get everything soaked. They outgrew the smaller 1 quart (?) I believe and I have to use a 5 quart so they would have water all day. Ill attach a picture bellow. They are 4 weeks old and have just started bath time every 3rd day or so.
Any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated!
