I'd never heard of them before. They're huge! Just thought I'd share this link about them...

When I was growing up and guy down the road from us had several big cats and a Liger was one of them. It got out and mauled someones dog and they could not catch it so they had to shoot it.

A liger is male lion female tiger and a TIGON is the exact opposite of a liger. Hows that for some thinking?

Also, they are infertal just like mules

Yes, I've even seen programs about the liger.

I'm not trying to hijack, but I'm adding this mainly for Taz's benefit.

South Florida is having a problem with a new, non-native snake species. It's a cross between a burmese python and an african rock python. Irresponsible owners have turned both burmese and rocks loose in the everglades and they are capable of mating. Burmese are large, very large, and african rocks are very aggressive. The result is a snake large enough and mean enough to eat a human:

Me thinks I'd rather go up against a Liger.
