There is this one person (another site entirely) who just drives me nuts with everything he says! Every time he posts I just want to reach through the screen and slap him! I've been a member of this other site for 2 years now, he just joined this year. Not that it really matters, just the reason why it's only bothering me now. He posts stuff that boarders on cruel. Brags about stuff I find disgusting. Treats his animals like crap. Everything he says drives me flipping nuts! It bothers other people too....most have just stopped responding so his threads are kinda like he's talking to himself. I (and others) have tried to correct some of the things he's said he's doing that are wrong, and he simply ignores our posts. I've actually been avoiding the site since he comments on EVERY thread there is!

Am I the only one who gets annoyed with people like this?

I would just block that member, if you can. I would ignore every post he writes, and I would never respond to him. Those types of people feed on your responses, and it's a reward to them if they get you worked up. Kind of like a cyber bully.

Everyone has at least someone that annoys them. I am sure I annoy some and I know some annoy me. I refuse to let someone get under my skin and thus that is how I deal with it. It helps to not take things personal as if it really does not effect you personally, I mean they are not in your face literally and you can walk away virtually online easier than in person.

Stress is a choice and once you grasp that and lay hold of it as a principle you can make a choice like any other choice on any other subject. I am stubborn and I use my stubborness to my advantage and I can tell you when I do not want to participate in something it takes a lot more than words to change my mind.

Thankfully we don't have people like that on this forum! Though my DH told me about a similar character he encountered on his boat forum. I'm glad we have mods who keeps an eye out here. Don't they have mods on this other site? I sounds like they should!

Have you "spoken" with the admid or owner of the forum? If you are not the only one concerned or annoyed then they can speak if him. Have you ever thought he just likes the attention? and likes causing conflict? and your feeding into him and just stressing yourself out to his pleasure

I haven't actually argued with him or anything. Once or twice I pointed out the correct way to do things. Others have too. The funny thing is, he doesn't argue! That would make sense if he were trying to troll and 'stir the pot', but he doesn't. He ignores anyone that tells him he's doing something wrong, so I don't think he's enjoying it....I truly don't get it. One of the things that bothers me is that like most forums, we have our share of newbies....and he is the first the offer them bad advice. Of course somebody else usually comes along with the right answer and he just keeps going on like the other answer never came. It's so weird. I stayed off that forum for the last 2 weeks because of him, I figured he'd get bored...but no. Still there. His threads die real quick now, but he comments on every single other thread that's posted. Maybe I should find another site to refer him to? lol

They do have mods but since he's not arguing or causing trouble they really can't kick him off for giving bad advise and bragging about treating his animals poorly.

oh well sorry then just seems like he is just one of those people thinks that he knows whats right and that everyone else is wrong so he just keeps giving away his advice

Do they have any rules about condoning illegal activity? It may be a stretch, but depending on how badly he is treating his animals, it could be considered animal cruelty, and it is a fellony...and talking about it could be supporting it...I have read about people on this forum drowning animals, and pest or not, it makes me sick.
