My sick rooster seems to be doing somewhat better. I thought I'd take his temp. It read 108 for several days.
I tried a different thermometor, the same reading. I decided to take the temp of a healthy hen...her's read 106.
According to my chicken health book, 103 is normal for adult chickens. Now I'm wondering, maybe Ralph (the roo) doesn't have a fever? Anyway, what's normal?
How could a rooster with a high fever want to eat as well as he is?
