Everyone’s favorite game: roo or not?

I’ve got two barred rocks and I know one is a female and another that I’ve been suspected is a roo since week three. They are my smallest and largest chickens respectively. The suspect has more heft to her/him, noticeably larger feet, bands look bigger, holds its tale higher up, walks more proud, and just barely larger comb and wattles or more noticeable. They are 7/8 weeks old. First set of photos is the female for contrast.

I think its a pullet I belive the pullets have the dark on there feet but im no expert.

Why is she so much bigger then? And her wattle/comb redder?

Did you hatch them yourself or did you buy them froma hatchery or feed store?

It could be a could be a dominant hen. So thats why its bigger.

Chickens are all different.
Certain breeds mature faster, and often chickens within the same breed have different maturing speeds too.
I agree it definitely looks like a pullet.

From a hatchery, so I know that the chance is slim. But it would have been nice to have a roo, so I can breed next year.

They might even have been a couple weeks apart

You may be able to look for roos. I live in New York and a lot of people give them for free or very cheap
