I had been reading how a bunch of people are buying organic cage free eggs and hatching chicks from them so I thought I would give it a try since I broke two of my turkens and am unsure if they will make it. I bought some plain ol' Kroger brand organic cage free eggs this morning when I went shopping. I figured I would open one or two and see first if I could see that fertile dot or bullseye showing that they may be fertilized. I'll be danged if the first one I opened had the dot!! So I'm letting the other 11 rest up to room temp then in the bator they are going! The eggs are white, any ideas what breed they may be? This is so cool! I'm going to be thrilled if they hatch. I'm not going to let the one I opened go to waste though. I'm going to make some cookies! LOL!
