We have an older hen who crows every morning

It happens. And, as I said mine mounts others, but it is more a dominance thing. She is just making sure they remember who is in charge.

UPDATE: Cleo the hen has informed us that she is actually Patches the Rooster. He crowed three times first thing this morning.

It's okay....I just had a gut feeling he was a roo as a chick because he's always had such thick legs, even for a baby. I'm just devastated we can't keep him.
