Welcome to BYC! Congrats on your new property/future farm. Sounds like you got a extremely long time until your hens arrive. There's a good chance you'll get impatient and get some spring chicks when you see them at your local feed store....be weary of the chicken math!

The OP said she ordered chicks, pullets, but I'm sure when she gets them and has bonded she will be ready for more. I started out with 6 and now average around 300 birds. I guess that's chicken math...
