Hello everyone I hope today is treating you well.My Americana hen has had this problem for awhile and I dont know what to do about it I have tried applying blue coat, cleaning coop and sanitizing it and even giving her corid and LA 200.These were all suggestions from friends at school or from TSC.I love my girl and hate to see her like this. She is walking odd,has whitefish clearing brownish depending on the day discharge coming from her vent and boy does she stink. She is eating and can take care of her self as well as keep up with the flock when feeding time is across the property.Does anyone know what I should do?Please help I'm truly desperate. She is also laying.

I would highly recommend you soak your sweet girl in a warm sink with Epsom salts, and then scrub her area gently with mild soap. You may have to pluck those dirty feathers off carefully, as they may not get clean. I have 2 hens that tend to get messy bottoms. You want the area clean, because once the warm weather comes in, they may get fly strike.....there’s nothing more disgusting then having to pick out maggots that are eating your hen’s bottom end!
Best of luck!
