Everyone, please feel free to add your pictures of chicks and ducklings that needed assistance in hatching.

Here is one I found in a nest. It's been my experience that when they look like this with the shell crushed inwards and with a foot stuck out that they will never hatch on their own.

Duck egg with air bubble in small end. Duckling was too tightly squeezed to externally pip and zip. The first fully assisted hatch where I did everything right (including WAITING till the right moment to help in each step), thanks to Pyxis' excellent article.
